I'm restarting an old tank which has a F20T10AQ bulb in the hood. As far as I understand the code, that means: Fluorescent, 20W, Tube-shaped, 1.25" (10/8) diameter. I assume "AQ" means "Aquarium".

I think I'd prefer something brighter than I remember this bulb - maybe a Daylight bulb. I will not have live plants. Where can I buy one of these - online or local?

Neither my LFS (PetSmart), nor my local Lowe's carry ANY T10 fluorescent bulbs!

I haven't seen a T10 bulb in a long time. Not sure if you'll find them in stores any more. I've seen T5, T6, T8 and T12 in stores only. No T10. I think you're best off getting a new hood.
