I have these two odd looking things in my tank and would like some kind of identification for them.
This one is a snail but doen't seem to have a shell. The shell on it is somewhat like a half of a clam.

This one looks like a stalk of a mushroom, or toadstool leather. I just noticed it growing under my rock today. It moves quite a bit with good control of movement. Can't get a real close up for some reason, pictures keep coming out blurry. This is the best I could do.

The first one is a stomatella varia. A great algae eating snail. The second I'm not sure. When you say it moves, does it expand at all? Can you explain the movement?

I agree with the stomatella. 2nd almost looks like a yellow polyp with the head retracted.

I've got one of those snails myself, he's an adventurous little bugger too. He's made it to the sink twice now when I go to clean salt creep off my tank lid. Have to check real carefully to make sure I'm not carrying him away.

I don't think its a yellow polyp, its moving too weird to be a zoo. Looks more like a worm, but just not sure.

Its size compared to my CBS which is about 2 inch long

And here is its movement, best describe with some pics.

Sometimes the body of it would shrink and expand lengthwise like it was stretching. It would do this quite often which is why I don't think it is a zoo.

It may be a peanut worm but I'd like to know, does it ever extend it's body any farter out? And does it's mouth open up at all?

Thanks for the info guys, just glad its nothing bad growing in my tank. And Fluff, I didn't see its mouth open at all.

Does it stay out all the time like that? I had a peanut worm that I didn't know existed in my tank for over a year, until I turned on the lights for an issue and saw him.

ya, it stays out like that all day. its attach to the rock but I don't think there is a hole where its at.
