need help Sealife systems motorized nv75 skimmer

all put together (we think..theres no directions) and we are getting alot of clean white foam coming out of the top (new water one week old with only live rock in the tank). The skimmer is in the sump (sump is not working yet). We are not sure if we put something in the wrong place b/c it doesn't seem to be staying at one water level....sometimes overflowing and then going waaaay down below water level line.

A pic of someone's that is all set up or a verbal walk through would be great! TIA

we figured it out after about 5 hrs of fiddleing. still getting about 1 full cup per hour but it's a new tank so i'm figuring there's a bunch of crap from the live rock that came with the tank.
