Looking for advice on how to upgrade lighting on an aqueon 15 column tank so that I can do live plants. It comes stock with a 12" T5 8Watt but I know that's not enough. This is my first tank that I've done live plants with. Everywhere I look I can't seem to find anything that'll let me upgrade. I'd like to keep the stock hood and just upgrade it with a bulb, or even add something to it if needed. I saw a post where someone upgraded their stock hood by adding a home depot fixture with two CFL bulbs in it. I've also saw that someone added the marineland LED light (Aquarium Lighting Freshwater Aquarium LED Light | Marineland) but I have no idea if even that would be enough light. HELP please :)
