New 75 gallon! Help!

My aunt has given me a beautiful 75 gallon tank that i am going to start tonight. I have a few questions because I am very much so a beginner.

1) How much gravel do I need to buy to fill the bottom of the tank?
2) Any cycling help would be appreciated.
3) My aunt was running this tank previously as a saltwater tank. Should I do anything extra as a precaution to try and eliminate any extra salt in the tank? I plan on keeping this as a freshwater tank.

You need to read thru this: Guide to Starting a Freshwater Aquarium

50 lbs should cover the bottom of the tank.

I really good scrub with vinegar/water solution. Then rinse with water should work.
