I am getting a new fish tank that im buying from a friend.. I was wonering how long do I let the water sit with filter and bubbler going befor adding fish. And how many fish can I add at 1 time

Buy a test kit and you can add fish when your ammonia and nitrates go down. My new tank took about a week and a half so there's an estimated time for it to cycle.

First you will need to learn about the nitrogen cycle. Is the tank set up and running with fish or empty?
