Okay, I'm new to real plants being in my tank. I've had for a few years some Java fern and Anubias, which although aren't growing too fast, they're alive and growing.

My question is I just got some Java Moss and don't know if I'm supposed to treat it or anything before I put it in the tank in case of Parasites or something. What should I do?

Thanks a bunch!

Mary :)

I dont believe java moss in general can carry any parasites, they might have some hitch hiking snails, but no parasites.

Rinse it. Take an old tooth brush and comb it a bit. Hair algae likes to live in the stuff.
