New tank, but not mine

So in a little revese of what I normally read about on this site. I just bought my parents a 46 gl fish tank. Me and my brother set it all up for them and I advised my dad on the wonders of fishless cycling, all theoretical at this point since I cycled my tank normally, mostly because I felt bad giving him a chore to do. He's an anesthesiologist and therefore a pretty busy man. I know that this is a fiercely debated topic, but I'm just looking for some extra info to send to them. so if anyone has some links or advice besides the obvious googling to pass on to them I'd really appreciate it. BTW, they source of water in the house is already RO filtered.

Hm, I don't think fish can live in completely RO water.
