I want to transfer some green Texas cichlids that have been living in a 40g with just play sand, now that I have something to buffer their tank, I put the new gravel in A 55 and cycled it, how do I put them into that tank without ph shock?

PH shock? No such thing...... although osmotic shock can happen. If the kh and gh are similar, this won't be a problem...... it is rare and needs specific conditions to happen.

Just put them in a container and drip feed water from the new tank for an hoir or so and you should be fine.

... Actually I have heard of ph shock (very high to very low or vice versa) I hear most cichlids like higher ph, if you are worried yours will be too low, I have found out there are special substrate (like gravel but not quite) especially for that.. Do you know what the two ph level are ? If it's not a drastic change there is no biggie at all :)
Edit- just re-read if it's both your tank there is no problem, I was talking about people that use 2 different water sources.

Same water source but the gravel I bought apparently buffers the water, I did the transfer and they actually are much happier and thriving.
