Hi! I've had a 20 litre aquarium with two goldfish for one year now. I have bought various plants over the years but not been serious. I now have four plants which I want to grow. One has grown roots already! How do Plant and keep them alive? They tend to rot! Thanks!

The most important is the light. 20 litre is what 5 gallons? That seems small for the goldfish but someone here can better touch on that as I dont really know a ton about goldfish.

Anyway back to the plants.
What kind of plants are they? If you are not sure post a picture and someone here can id them. As for lighting. most important thing is the "color" They can't be just any old light, they need to be in the 6,500 K to 10,000K spectrum, or daylight bulbs. Otherwise the plants may not photosynthisize. Most important tho is we need to know what kind of plants. Some require CO2 and fertalizers.

It's way too small for the goldfish sorry
Anyway I have several plants in my tank and my fish love them
I recommend not uprooting them as mine nearly died when I did

It says AAs TUV GS E14 5W on the label. I will add some pics!
