Goniopora has a reputation for being tough to keep. Some people tell of keeping them just fine though. I've had on for like nine months but it retracted about seven months ago and has not come back out. I've read they like dirty water (lots of nutrients) which is contradictory to what we want our water to be as reefers. Think that's why mine isn't out much, I feed PLENTY of food but I have a serious over filtration disorder lol. Now there is a Goniopower food by Julian Sprung that is out but I have not tried it. Bottom line they need lotsa food. I hear using Miracle Mud can help make a difference too but also I haven't tried it.
