Hello guys, could you tell me what's this called, and also advice me on lights, waterflow, and tank placement pls, got it 4 days ago from local guy who shut down the tank, he mention the name but I forgot it, thanks a lot.

It doesn't look good whatever it is. Sorry, I could be wrong. But it looks unhealthy. An open brain coral that really not doing well or a clam on its way out?

Sorry I can't be more help but it almost looks like the skeleton is showing.

Yes I placed closed to lights it started to turn bit dark, now I moved it further down, and I want to know is this how it looks or it'll open more, thanks

Sorry I can't be more help but it almost looks like the skeleton is showing.

I bought my first 2 coral from him, I know I dont hv any experience but it was dead cheap IMO, I paid £30 for both, other 1 looks ok, and now I'm started to worry, hope I learn something from this.

That's a GSP or green star polyp which looks fine. What kind of lights and what size tank?

And don't stress it, everyday is a learning experience for everyone. No one is above learning something new or new trick etc. that's what we're here. We learn from each other and form a bond as hobbyist :)

I got this 2 led lights, it's just under 50 gallon, yes I have no doubt bout learning from this forum, as there are so many ppl like you helping all the new comers, thanks

No idea bout wattage as I bought it as second hand tank, there are 36 white and 6 blue on each lights. Is this good enough 4 this tank?

I would need to know the wattage. Like 3w per LED.
