Hello!
I got into the hobby recently and have a 15 gallon freshwater tank. I use a HOB Aquaclear 50 with intake sponge, biorings, and seachem purigen to catch tannins leaching from a piece of wood. The tank is cycled, planted without dirt, and has moss balls and riccia covered rocks. I use nutrient caps from tropica in the gravel.
My tank has
9 red sakura shrimp
4 pygmy corys
6 Amano shrimp
13 blue neon tetras
1 otocinclus
pH is stable around 7 (strips for now)
Nitrites at 0
Nitrates at 10
KH 10
GH 7<14
I also have a cycled quarantine tank with a Eheim filter that is not appropriate for nanos so I wrap it entirely in a mesh bag...
