How do I secure the LR pieces to each other, to ensure that nothing shifts or falls into my tank?

Or does it need to be secured at all?

Thanks in advance!

I have over 150 lbs with no sticking them togrther. As Seaham said they will by weight ang grooves pretty well stay together.

Is it ok if the rock touches the back of the tank? I was looking at the lfs display tanks.. and they all seemed to have lr touching the glass. Seems risky to me... but what do I know?

I know I have mine touching the back. It will make the fish swim out front.

Same here as far as touching the back :D Also you might want to get a couple of 3" wide 2" high pvc to place under the rock so it doesn't bury itself in the sand to much. This link explains it better.
