Everyone I talk to says that feather fin catfish are shy and reclusive but mine is always out and about. He comes up to the front of the glass when I walk by, rarely hides, and even will swim upside down and compete with my mbuna for food off the surface. I wanted to hear some stories of your oddballs. Anyone else have fish that just refuse to be "normal?"

I have a feather fin who behaves the same way. He's always out and fun to watch.

My elephant nose is out day & night when he's suppose to be nocturnal. He also like,s interaction with me coming up to my hand when cleaning or whenever my hand is in the tank. He swims backwards at my hand & does a circle around it & let's you stroke him. He's my favorite fish too have :)

My catfish ( similar to feather fin) is not shy at all, and eats with the big guys in the tank.
