Ok, water change.

I got sick of waiting after 4 weeks from the ocean for my water to change color and today on the incoming i saw the water was super clear so i quickly drained my entire tank and i am refilling it now...

But, when i do refills i plan on doing say 20% each week and that is 16 gal, is it fine for me to get my bro's to bring buckets of water up put then in the bath then just chuck my powerhead in the bath connected to a hose?

It sounds obvious to me that i can but i want to make sure i do it properly.

you talking about putting water for your tank that you plan to use in your tank in a bath tub?? I would not use water that is in a bath tub for a tank... What about all the soap scum, cleaning fluids and what ever that are on the tub surface.
Water change color??? I would not use water from the ocean no telling what in it.

Why not water from the ocean? It has to be able to house fish since there are fish swimming around in it?
