Siamese algae eater has a pretty big cut on his back right behind his head. I'm pretty sure this happened because of the gourami that is in the tank with him. I think that the SAE could have scratched against the driftwood when they were chasing each other around. I'm worried about him he has been swimming in the same place at a upwards angle a lot recently. Around the cut the scales are a darker brown than the rest of his body. Seems to be healing. he is still eating. I first noticed this on Sunday.
pH - 6.8-7
Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrites 0ppm
Nitrates - 40-80 ppm (can't really tell, I realize this is high. Planning on doing lots of water changes. Anything else I can do?)
