Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any advice they could lend me.

’ve had my oranda for a few months now and he’s always been just fine until recently I discovered he has a divot in his head and it seems to be getting worse. I have been doing 75% water changes for a few days and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. The water levels seem to be doing just fine as well. Also the other fish is doing just fine so I don’t think it’s fungal in nature.

It’s not red, but it is ‘fraying’ a bit. I read on a forum that pleco’s like to pick at the oranda’s head. I’ve seen this happen before, but the oranda seems to be going up to the pleco willingly, and the pleco kind of latches on for a second or two then goes about his own business. Could that be causing that much damage?

Thank you so much for your help. I greatly appreciate it.
