While I was lovingly rearranging the plants in my aquarium my Midas Cichlid decided to perform a sneak attack. Hercules sunk rows of needle sharp teeth into my knuckles leaving me with two serrated strips matching his upper and lower jaws.

The guy got my arm once before too, but I didn't get a picture.

Sadly, I had to give the guy away on craigslist. Hope he is happier in his new 80g tank.

Free Large *****y Fish

Thats crazy, the LFS where I go for supplies had this full grown red devil for a couple of months and everytime I went I would look at it for a while. There thing would charge the glass if I got close and jump out of the water if you put your hand anywhere near. It was crazy. Sorry you gave it away, actions like that would be motivation for me to keep!! haha.

I actually gave him away because he had grown far too big for my 46g tank. The bite just happened to coincidentally happen around the same time.

A fish with a bit of personality is always better than a boring floater.
