Paint?!?!

I saw some bodies tank on here and they had used PVC pipe to make caves..... It looked like they painted the ends of the piping. My question is; can you paint stuff to go in the tank and is there a special type of paint to use?

Krylon Fusion for plastics, just make sure you fully cure it (48-36 hrs) before adding it to a tank.
