Painted background

So i wanted to change the color of the background because it has permanent blue coloring and i have grown tired of it. The problem is i cant put anything behind it because it is not transparent. I was wondering if anybody has painted the inside of the back wall with a paint such as krylon fusion which has been used by some in aquariums?

Hm... I don't know about the inside but could you find some solution to get rid of the background or scrape it off with a paint scraper and some warm soapy water?

I would do that if I could but its not painted. Its actual blue acrylic that was made that way.
