just purchased a 36 gallon tank. trying brackish started it up Thurdsay April 16. today is Sunday April 19. the test strip process. Do i read the freshwater side or salt? no fish yet. but getting Fairy Cyclids

Get a liquid test kit they are much more accurate. If I had to guess I would say the saltwater kit for brackish but I'm not completely sure on that.

This is a very good question. I would say use the saltwater but I feel like that might be inaccurate.

Get a liquid test kit they're much better and more accurate.

You could read both SW and FW ph and pro rata them? Not sure people generally do.

It depends, brackish is a very wide range of salinity. Whats the salinity level that youre shooting for?
