Picked up a new 75 Gal tank

OK, I picked up a new 75 Gal tank off CL today. Tank, stand, wet/dry filter, and pretty much all they had as far as supplies.

It was a planted tank, which I'm not against, but I'm not going for a heavily planted tank.
So, I've emptied the tank, and I'm trying to scrub all the algae out of it, fun times.
I'm hoping to save some of the BB and not have to go through a full cycle, but I'm not sure I'll have it set back up in time.
How long will BB last with out being fed, and being out of water?

I've also read that I can use bleach on fake deco's, anything to use on the inside glass to help clean up the algae?

I soak all my decor in bleach water and then soak it twice in water, then let dry completely. Just make sure you can smell any bleach when done and dry. If so rinse again. I cleaned the inside of my CL tank with a white vinegar and water solution. A little bit of elbow grease and good to go ! GL

I believe BB can live for a couple days if kept wet, but if it dried out it doesnt last very long.
