Pineconing comet

Help! My fat goldfish fred is pineconing, he still eats and swims like he is lost, we feed him shelled peas and he passes them within a day. PH 6.6, amonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10ppm. 29gal, room temp(68-74)

Hi, welcome to the forum.

What sort of goldfish is he (fancy or comet, etc) and how old? Also if anything changed in the tank and how long the pine-coning has been going on?

First up I'd stop anymore feeding for the next three days, particularly if the pine-coning is just around the stomach. If pine-coning all over the body and/or eyes starting to bulge I'd grab over the counter antibiotics eg as a medicated feed.
