I just bought this plant along with some others at the lfs. I thought it looked pretty good, but I have no idea what is? Could someone help me? Also any tips or info on it would help! Thanks!

That looks like mondo grass to me, I could be wrong though, where did you buy it?

Did it come in a little tube with gel in the bottom? It doesn't look truly aquatic.

I bought it at my closest lfs, and no It was a potted plant when I bought it. The leaves are all green, sorry in the picture some sand settled on the leaves.

I believe Zimmanski is correct, looks like a striped mondo species.

It doesn't seem curly enough to be mondo grass could be sag, Val, balansae, all of which are 100% aquatic, if it is Kyoto grass or mondo grass than it won't survive fully submerged, you're gonna have to make sure that the top of the plants are sticking out of the water.

How about cyperus helferi? What do the leaves feel like? Are they sharp? C. Helferi has that ridge that goes down the middle of the leaves.

I believe that the cyperus h. Looks the most alike what I have, although I'm not home right now to examine any closer..

Cyperus helfieri makes total sense!! I have it in 2 of my tanks, but I keep mine clipped down to look like Hairgrass

I would have to agree that it looks like cyperus
