Hi, I am looking to start a heavily planted JBJ Nano 6 gallon. I have Eco-Complete for the substrate. The tank comes with a 18 watt fluorescent 50/50 lamps with both 10K purified white daylight side by side next to our 7100K blue actinic. I don't plan to start with CO2 but I may add it later.
Am I right in thinking this would support low to mid light plants?
I am looking for 3 levels, some carpet type for the foreground, some small leafy mid-ground, and in the very back some tall plants. The tank is 12in x 12in x 12in. I'd like to plant it fairly sparsely to start and grow out the plants to fill in the rest over time.
What plants would you recommend for each type?
Would aiming the return on the filter upward to create surface agitation help with gas exchange from water to air?
