Hi,

I was thinking about starting a planted tank. The light fixture my tank came with is florescent, straight tube, and 20 watts. Are there very low light plants that can live in this light? If not, I suppose I could replace it but it would be a heck of a lot easier if I could use this light!

Also, since this is my first planted tank, I would appreciate if the suggestions are plants suitable for beginners.

:thanks:

I don't know too much about lighting but I know that Anubias and java moss will grow in that light and maybe java fern.

Anubia can practically grow in the dark! Java ferns and java moss should be good in those lights. You can do wisteria but the leaves will look much wider and larger than you are used to seeing. They look fatter like an oak leaf.
