Can anyone tell what this is. It is on the bottom of my live rock, I noticed it a month or so ago and it hasn't moved at all. Any ideas?

Depends on what your looking at. The white filmy looking stuff is a sponge but I see what could be aiptaisia near the top of the pic.

Sorry it is a bad picture and I didn't describe it at all. It is right in the middle. I thought it was some sort of snail at first but it never moved. It is grey and white with some white dots on the grey, it is kind of cone shaped and is upsidown on my live rock in the shade.

Ah, I see it, it's on top of the sponge. I know there are snails with conical shells, but if it's not moving maybe it's just a snail shell stuck on the sponge?

I might poke at it tomorrow when I clean and change some water. I'm curious, it isn't that exciting so if it is living and doesn't like me poking it I won't be too upset.

Thanks for the help.

I'll post tomorrow if I get it off the rock or find anything more out about it.

Definitely wasn't cool, it was a shell wedged in my live rock.
