Right now i have 3 plecos, gotten from 3 different places at different times and at the moment in 3 separate tanks. My biggest question is if anyone can identify what kind they might be, but also wondering if a large, maybe 7-8inch, pleco will bother smaller plecos, guppies and snails? Also, is it normal for plecos to change colors? my smallest ones seems very pale sometimes, and sometimes it looks as if he has lighter patches, especially around his topfin

Largest first... think hes about 7-8 inches

One of those is a Bristlenose I believe. The one in the last few pics. If he is the one thats changing color, it's due to stress. BN are wonderful in that they can tell you if there is something wrong in the tank. Test your water parameters if you see those lighter spots/stripes appear. LOVE BN plecos! :)

I think the smallest is a bushynose pleco looks a lot like mine I have two juvenile ones about the same size and their color sometimes changes on the top fin only with different lighting

yes i checked the water a couple times when i notice his color change everythings normal, hes in a 55gal tank with 13 male guppies. and he seems to do it pretty randomly.

The second one looks an awful lot like my butterfly pleco. I'm no expert though, so take that with a grain of salt...

Mine has a bit of a coat as well, so thanks for asking that question :D
