Would I need 1 or 2 power heads for a 40g breeder I see the hydor 850 should be good but just wanted to have some opinions. It will eventually be reef

I would say 1 would be good enough. On my friends 40 breeder reef he uses 1 hydor 400 and he gets more than enough flow with that and his canister.
