Pregnancy Stupid Questions

Mollies and guppies, what do they look like when they are pregnant, and how do you know when they are just about ready to give birth??
My fantail guppy is huge and fat with the back part of her abdomen all dark in colour, is she ready??

I'd say so, when mine gave birth , it let off about 10 baby fry, 3 or 4 of those have grown really colourful. Remember to transfer the mum once it has given birth, or it could well munch them all.
