I noticed that one of my amano shrimp recently started carrying something dark on its underside.

Is it pregnant?? When I did my research before getting them I read that it was unlikely they would carry unless the conditions were perfect.

How do I care for it if it is pregnant?!?!

Yes, it is a berried female. I had one like this for what seemed like months. I never saw the eggs released though (I have a densely planted tank with lots of cover). I believe in the wild these shrimp will migrate from freshwater to near or at saltwater levels of salinity and then release the eggs/hatchlings. And then they gradually migrate back to freshwater again.

I literally just took these 10 mins ago and was going to post in my build thread.

Looks like yours is the same. I can't comment on the conditions required for this to happen. I too have a pretty densely planted tank.
