problem with blue hippo tang

when i isolated my tang from the regular population and put them in with my cinnamon clown fish everything was fine for a while until my fish got sick after i treated them with some ich chemical that was supposed to be fish friendly and my tang died but was able to save the clowns, why did this happen?

can i know what is your tank size n what type of ich "chemical" that u used for treatment..??

i used herbtana and it was only a 5-7 gallon tank he was fine in there during the first two treatments, each 12 hrs apart
