Can guppies prolapse? Mine dropped her fry yesterday, but within the last half hour she has developed a translucent red bubble coming from her anus/uterus (?)
I thought she may just be constipated or something because Id just fed them with some bloodworms, but then I noticed it looks like there are veins running through it. Is it a prolapse? If so, will it sort itself out, or should I expect a dead guppy soon :( if it's not that, what is it? I've tried getting a photo, but she's moving about so quickly at the moment.

ok first anything that can give birth can prolapse wither its eggs or live birth sometimes it will correct itself sometimes it wont i dont believe there is treatment but i could be very wrong how is she doing now?

It seems to have sorted itself out now, but I'm going to keep a close eye on her. If it's happened this once, is it more likely to happen again?
