Protein Skimmer or Chaeto in Chamber 2?

Wondering if I should use a protein skimmer or turn the 2nd chamber into a fuge would be a better idea. I'm going to be starting up a Biocube 29 and you like to know what everyones preference is on the subject.

29 gallon, I would use a HOB. Simple and cheap.

Do not need anything to fancy for that size either. You can pick up a reef octopus bh100 for 129.99

I have a 29g bio cube And went with the cheato and rubble in the second chamber I use a led 6500 k and it's growing like weeds, I give some to my Lfs on monthly basis. I was also running a protein skimmer but dumped after 2 months. I found no need for it. I don't have a huge load in my system, mostly corals and 2 clowns as well as several clean up crew members.
