Greetings,
In looking at locations to place my new 110 Show, I've got a conditional approval from my better half to put it in our great room, provided it doesn't make too much noise. I've heard of people putting the pumps/filters behind a wall if they have a spare room, but what about running lines to a high shelf in the basement? That way the water lift to the top of the tank (it's not drilled) would be about 6' + 3 = 10 feet.
Also, if equip ever leaked, it would be in a MUCH better place, rather than onto a hardwood floor.
Any experience with locating equipment in a lower floor and pumping up to the tank? Maybe the head pressure would be too high?
Links to threads which have already discussed this layout question welcomed.
Thanks!
