Question about sand (not a normal question though)

OK Im going to use play sand in my new 29gallon tank. In the main tank I am going to use the non aragonite sand. I know it doesnt buffer like aragonite sand.

Question is Im going to use live sand in the fuge. Techincally it should still buffer the water just as if I was using it in the main tank correct?

The sand in the fuge will help buffer, but it will not buffer as well as if you had it in both locations. Have you looked for the aragnite play sand in your area?

wow, play sand. I have never heard of that before. what would you do that for?

Yeah I have. Im having a hard time finding the color I want (white). The play sand is the closest I have found so far. I would order online but I need it like monday. My 10g is starting to leak so I have to get the 29gallon started up asap. I figure i can use a ph buffer if the fuge wont be enough.
