hey my girl friends mom asked me a question last night on freshwater fish i am a salty but i told her i would post it here to find out this may even apply to some salt fish but i doubt it but with freshwater fish can a tetra or a guppy have fry from a mixture of father fish , she has a new fry in her tank and its colors are a mixture of a couple of the males in the tank, can fish mix breed like that like dogs can like the puppy has more than one father so it looks different than both parents

guppies unless its a show guppy even then dont always breed pure. meaning a red guppy crossed with another red guppy will not always have red fry. two fish and shoot a rainbow of colors for the most part.
