Question For Blood Parrot Owners

What do you feed your Blood Parrot? Mine loves frozen blood worms but I don't want to feed that too often. He'll eat flakes and shrimp pellets but I'd like to offer something else. What does yours eat?

I don't have one but I would suggest new life spectrum thera a + garlic as the main food . probably 1mm sinking pellets. Then fed the other as a treat

The primary food source for my blood parrot is blood worms. Sometimes flakes, but he really enjoys algae wafers for some reason. I also hear blood parrots like peas.

Shelled peas and a good quality pellet or flake. Your right to not want to feed bloodworms too often. They are loved but not nutritious enough. They are like eating candy all the time.
