Question on new props

Really looking into making my tank a much better design. Any good ideas? Also, when buying new props, plants, or stones etc, what is the process for cleaning them properly ad inserting them into the tank? Should I take all the fish out? Thanks guys!

when putting plants into the aquarium, you sould rinse them under luke-warm tap water (i.e. same temp as aquarium) as they can come with bad things like snails.
when putting rocks and driftwood into the aquarium, i recall the method being pouring them over with warm water in a bucket, changeing the water a few times a day and doing that for a week, and brushing them off to remove whatever may be on them.
neither requires you to remove the fish, but you sould have a plan on how to place the items first as swinging the items back and fourth will make the fish uneasy.
