Rainbow Rock!

Hi all,

I've added a piece of rainbow rock (not sure if that's the technical name for it), bought from my LFS today. I washed the rock in tank water, before putting it in the tank.

It seems to be emitting tiny bubbles (not masses). Is this going usual & ok?

Rainbow slate? Most any rock that is dry will have some bubbles coming off when you put it in the tank.

I've added a photo, if that helps? It's been in the tank for about 3 hours.

They called it Rainbow rock in store, & had pieces in most of their tanks, so I'm presuming it's ok

Oh yeah, I've seen those. They are usually very overpriced. Yes, bubbles coming off that rock would be perfectly normal.
