Rainbow Shark in 20 Gallon?

I have a 20 gallon tank with spaces to hide. The fish in the tank are...

-2 female platys
-3 cory cats
-1 clown pleco
-2 german ram cichlid

I was wondering if I could add a rainbow shark to this mix? I am aware they need a much larger tank but is that really necessary?

No a rainbow shark cannot go in a 20. They will also get much too aggressive for some of those fish. They become more aggressive with age and can be extremely aggressive in small tanks.

I concur. The pleco, corys and eventually the ram would be very unhappy and the shark is just too big once grown
