Went to my LFS today and saw for the first time ever a Red Devil as we don't seem to get them here in the UK. Hence the price of £60!! But what a beautiful fish and loads of personality.

If you decide to buy it, ask where they obtained the Red Devil from, which breeder. There's been a lot of hybrids between Midas and Red Devil from commercial fish farms. It's harder to find either a true Red Devil (Amphilophus Labiatus) or a true Midas (Amphilophus Citrinellum)

No I won't be buying it as I already have a GT and a JD and know red devils are even more aggressive and need to be on their own really. Just never saw one in the flesh before. Would certainly look at getting one in future though if my circumstances change.
