I have 3 red eye tetras in my 19G tank and they spend all day running along the glass. I assume looking for a way out. Sometimes they shoal together, and other times they are totally independent. They tend to hang upper-mid in the tank.
Quite the opposite of my neon tetras. They don't run the glass at all. They almost always shoal together, and actually if I see one going off on their own, they usually die. They hang out on the bottom, and a little mid.
Sound like normal behavior?
