Hello All,

I’ve had my red tail shark for about two years and he’s always been in my 20gak tank. I recently decided to upgrade and got a 30gal tank. I used most of the substrate and water from my 20gal tank to set up the new tank. I moved the fish over and all seems to be going well.

However, my red tail shark thrashed around a bit in the net when being moved and I noticed today that one of his eyes look cloudy. The rest of his colors are fine and his tail is a bright red. I don’t have the measurements on hand but I’ve tested the water several times and all the levels are perfect.

He is swimming and moving around like normal. Could this cloudy eye be caused by the stress of moving tanks? Is it treatable? I have attached pictures of his normal eye and his cloudy eye for reference. Thanks I’m advance for the advice!

It's prob some minor damage from the net. You can try adding some melafix to the water. Melafix is more of an antiseptic than a medicine, but it might help ward off a bacterial infection
