Red Texas Cichlid ID?

this Cichlid was sold to me as a Red Texas.. but from what i read they can get up to 10 to 12 inches... but this guy seams to be lucky if he is pushing 9 inches... he is year and half to two years old...

so can anyone ID him as something else or is he just a small Red texas...?

Definitely a run of the mill flowerhorn, I hope you didn't get stuck with a red texas price tag price tag.
