Return pipe leaking

So I just upgrade tank and now at point off filling it all up and have notice the return pipe has a leak at part it goes in tank so can I just put adhesive round the connecting part or take it off and put round bit of tank it goes into

Is the leak actually a anti siphon hole? It a small hole to stop the sump from over filling and flooding your floor.

it where the threads are to put pipe in. The tanks are known for it,I got some haru universal adhesive and put a ring of it around the connection and screwed it in so just waitin to dry see if works

If its leaking at the threads then Teflon tape on the male threads should work.
