hi AA fellow members,
i have a Rosy barb that have a swollen belly for almost 2 months, the fish swims and eats normally like the other 5 rosy barb that are with him in the same tank. when i first saw the sign i researched and gave them peeled green peas for 3 days and didnt see any change, so i proceeded to place him in a bucket with tank water and added epsom salt, left him there for 3 hours. i saw him poop alot, and placed him back to the tank but still with the swollen belly. few days later i saw him pooping a black and red feces, i panicked and started to research and found out that it was food colorant that made the feces colored red as the flakes i was giving them. i used to feed them mosquito larvae but change the diet around the same time i started feeding them flakes. i feed them only once daily, food enough that they will eat in like 20 secs. they are currently in a planted 10g tank running a HOB filter (aquaclear20), i know that the tank is too small for them but i plan to move them to a bigger tank when i finish saving enough for it. the tank have been running for 3 months already and each time i change 40-50% water 2x weekly. i use bottled water to replenish the tank. i dont have a test kit neither live near the city where i can get the water tested, so i cant tell you guys the water parameter.
i attached some pics of the fish. please help me save my fish
thx
