I have been watching the Siamese Algae eaters and they get under the Belem hairgrass and go at it etc.. They don't really pull it out but occasionally I find small sections floating - that had not rooted properly.. What do they do on the blades of the grass ? Suck or chew? Anyone with experience - let me know.. As I am trying to get my hairgrass to grow and become a show piece lawn.. Getting there slowly.. But I think my SAEs are lawn mowing..
The patch you see in the photo has hairgrass underneath.. I just threw soil over it.. So that it can root.. As this was one of my problem areas..
