Sand - Can I add with water in tank?

Hi All can i put new sand in my tank without emptying the water out as it would be hassle with all my corals and fish

You can do it from what I hear. Cut a small corner of the bag and slowly dump it in gettin the bag as close to the bottom as possible. This should minimize the cloudiness but not cure it. I would also turn off power heads and filters while you do it. Make sure to check parameters after you want to make sure there is no dye off that would cause a spike in ammonia. Keep pwc water on hand just in case.

Wouldn't you want to rinse the new sand with some RO water before placing it in the tank?
